塗り重ねた色の上に針で引っ掻くようにして絵を描き、独特のマチエールを持った作品をつくり出す画家、湯浅景子による作品集。

作家自身が「オマモリ」として普段身につけているアクセサリや、持ち歩いている手紙、薬瓶などに加え、背守り、折り鶴、しめ縄など、古来より人々が暮らしの中で安らぎや平和、魔除けを願いつくってきたものを、その想いや祈りを重ねながら描いています。

カバーを外すと、金の箔押しで施された折り鶴が現れます。巻末には、原画作品の一部を切り取り落款した、作家謹製のお守り付き。
